The Muskegon Shoreline Spectacular
Frisbee Dog Competition
Saturday, August 30th:
Margaret Drake Elliot Park, Muskegon
12:30 P.M. REGISTRATION
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
The Muskegon Shoreline Spectacular Frisbee Dog Competition draws pro and amateur Frisbee dog enthusiasts from the Mid West for a day of fun and competition. If you’re a seasoned pro or just starting your dog in Frisbee catching, you’re welcome to enter.
Bill Camp and his America’s Best Frisbee Dogs have delighted crowds with his high-flying, energetic canines during halftime performances around the country from NFL, MBL to college football venues (see list below). Again Bill brings his dogs to The Muskegon Shoreline Spectacular as our halftime performer and event judge.
Halftime is full of action. Our spectators and dog owners enjoy watching Bill puts his dogs through their jaw dropping jump combinations, while speeding yards down the field in pursuit of the Frisbee.
As a professional judge, Bill has the experience in objectively evaluating an owner and dog’s performance. However, owner and dog are judged on as a team.
- First, the owner’s throwing distance – the greater the distance of the throw the more point scored. Accuracy counts as well.
- Then second, dog’s catching form – more points are scored if all paws are off the ground at the time of the catch. No points are awarded if dog does not catch the Frisbee.
Participates get as many throws as possible in 60 second span per round. There are two rounds. The team with the greatest point total from the two rounds wins!
After the event, dog owners will have the opportunity to learn and ask questions from Bill on dog training and performance.
